About the Piedmont Area Chamber of Commerce
Mission Statement:
The Piedmont Area Chamber of Commerce advocates and represents businesses' interests and issues affecting the community. We provide the environment to help our members prosper and succeed through a proactive working partnership with all levels of government and community organizations to achieve a healthy local economy and quality of life.
Who We Are:
The Piedmont Area Chamber of Commerce is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization run by a volunteer board of directors and one part time employee. The Chamber operates on budget comprised of funding from memberships, sponsorships, donations and monies raised through our hosted events including the Piedmont UFO Fest, Wayne County Outdoor Expo and the Ozark Heritage Festival. In addition, the Chamber hosts the 4th of July Firework display each year. Due to limited opportunities for new business due to population, area income and workforce restrictions, the Chamber hosts these events as opportunities to bring large crowds and much needed additional commerce to our local businesses.
